NAME:
Godly Women of Power, Prayer, Praise and Purpose (GW4P)

SCRIPTURES:

Acts 1:8
“But you will receive POWER and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”

Ephesians 6:16
Praying always with all PRAYER and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Proverbs 31:30-31
Charm is deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be PRAISE. Give her of the product of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city].

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are the called according to his PURPOSE.

MISSION:
Motivated solely by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, The Way The Truth and The Life Ministries International, Women’s Ministry, entitled GOD’S WOMEN OF POWER, PRAYER, PRAISE AND PURPOSE (GW4P) exists to assist women of all ages and races both nationally and internationally in nurturing, encouraging growth in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and equipping them to faithfully and fully use their God-given gifts to glorify God and live out their purpose as they serve and reach others for Christ locally and globally.

VISION:
We envision women of all ages and races, both nationally and internationally unified by the Spirit of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, sharing the love of Jesus Chris. Influential Women of Power, Prayer, Praise and Purpose in their homes, workplaces, and communities; walking in the fear of the Lord, fulfilling their divine purposes, using their God given gifts for the purpose of harvesting other women for God’s kingdom.

COLORS:
Colors in the Bible have symbolic significance that can remind us about God and His plan of redemption. Just like with numbers, colors in the Bible point us to Jesus by symbolizing His Person and His works.

WHITE:
Purity; Light; Festivity; Triumph; Righteousness; Salt; Holiness; Glory; the bride; White Robe of Righteousness (priestly garments). Isaiah 1:18, Rev. 1:14, Rev. 6:2, Rev. 7:9, Rev. 19:8 Revelation 19:14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. The color white represents righteousness because of its purity of color and light. Fully light and without stain, the color white reminds us of the righteousness of Christ. He is pure light and pure righteousness and when a sinner comes to Him in faith, He washes them clean.

PURPLE:
Kingship; Royalty; Majesty; Fear of the Lord; Jesus as Mediator. Rev. 9:11-16, John 19:2, Judges 8:26. The Bible also reveals purple to be symbolic of wealth, prosperity, and luxury (Exodus 28:5, Ezekiel 27:7, Proverbs 31:22, Song of Solomon 3:10, and 7:5, Luke 16:19, Acts 16:14, Revelation 17:4, 18:12, 16). Purple reminds us of Jesus because He is the King of kings, and He lives and rules in the hearts of those who are His.

GOLD:
The color gold represents God because it points to His deity; Glory; Presence of God Wisdom. Acts 17:29, Rev. 21:18-23. When instructions were given for building the furniture in the Tabernacle, God was extremely specific about the use of gold. Every piece of furniture pointed to Christ and to His deity. For example, in the Holy of Holies, the Ark of the Covenant was constructed of acacia wood (symbolic of Jesus’ humanity) and overlaid with pure gold (symbolic of His divinity). The mercy seat was pure gold as well as the two cherubim; one on each side with wings outstretched (Exodus 25:10-21). The lamp stand was constructed of pure gold, and the table of showbread and the altar of incense were constructed of acacia wood (Christ’s humanity) and overlaid with gold (Christ’s divinity).

FLOWER:
RED ROSES - Love; The Father's heavenly care. Blood: Red in the Bible represents blood. The life of man is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11) and Christ’s blood atonement is necessary for the redemption of man. Jesus’ pure blood paid the penalty for our sins and by His blood, we are washed clean. Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood.

FIRST MEETING:
First meeting was held on the weekend of November 14-15, 2015,
with a weekend fellowship in Concord, North Carolina.

THEME:
FILL MY CUP LORD!
By Sister Chauncy Henry

”Fill my cup, Lord. I lift it up Lord. Come and quench this thirsting of my soul. Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more. Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.”

On November 14-15, The Way, The Truth, and the Life Ministries International, Inc. launched their Women’s Ministry, Godly Women of Power, Prayer, Praise and Purpose Ministry (GW4P). Its founder, Elder Paula Shields hosted the first meeting which was held in Concord, NC and subsequently the ladies of (GW4P) will meet quarterly on the 2nd Saturdays throughout the country. GW4P’s mission, purpose and vision are to equip, edify, encourage, empower, and educate women of all ages, races, both nationally and internationally through Christ-centered fellowship which will fortify their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while equipping them to faithfully utilize their God-given gifts, talents, and abilities to the glorify God.

The women gathered with expectant hearts from various states and the United Kingdom for a powerful, empowering, fun-filled time of intimacy, fellowship, praise, worship, prophecy, and prayer. Elder Shields’ powerful demonstrations using glasses and water left an indelible mark on our spirits which challenged us to do self-introspection of our cups (hearts, minds, and souls) relative to our relationship with God and purpose.

Elder Joycelyn David ministered on the “Importance of Quenching Your Thirst at The Fountain of Life” which distinguished the differences between quenching one’s thirst in the natural (physical body through any beverage) and quenching the thirst in one’s soul which can only be satisfied through the Fountain of Life (the Living Water). As one continues to drink from the fountain of the living water, you will experience God’s overflowing grace which will allot you the ability to encounter the “Superabundance of Life”, (Ephesians 3:20). It is only through reading and meditation on the living word does one position themselves to fill the cup of their soul to overflowing which will ultimately imbue you with power.

Subsequently, Sister Chauncy Henry also shared on “5 Things Which Can Ultimately Render You Powerless” which highlighted what it means to be anointed, where the source of our power as Christian women is found and those things (sins) which if left un-addressed will cause one to lose spiritual power. The topics of gossip, adultery, fornication, a lying tongue, and idolatry evoked rich dialog, moved some to tears, and allowed for testimonies to be shared in confidence and love.

The weekend included a variety of spirited and fun-filled interactions such as a time of One - Another and Each-Othering which afforded the ladies of (GW4P) the opportunity of exploring those scriptures in the word of God which instructs us on how we should treat one another, anonymously asking questions giving biblical clarification relative to any personal challenges or concerns and capped off with playing various bible games created by Sister Giselle Anderson-Shields.

Sister Judy Mays ministered to our hearts and souls from her vast collection of divinely inspired poems. Poems like Thanksgiving, Lord, You Amaze Me, and I Sought to See Your Face not only captured the essence of God love for us but our hearts desires like the deer that pants for the water, our souls longing after Him.

MAY YOUR CUP OVERFLOW
By Judy Mays

May you ever taste God’s living water.
May you know God directing your way.
May you realize God’s word touching your life
May you know God is ever in the midst of your praise
May you find the blessings of God falling fresh upon you.
May you experience the depths & heights of the love of Jesus.
May you through Jesus Christ bring refreshing word to others.
May you have the blessed assurance of the God with you always.
May you be a vessel filled, flowing, pouring out God’s great love.

The women of (GW4P) experienced a great time of intimacy and fellowship with the Lord. No one left this women’s shut-in the same way they came for their cups overflowed through transformation, spiritual gifts being stirred up, deliverance and healing, the manifestation of boldness/confidence, revelation, prayer, and prophecy. Each woman was charged, revived, restored, and empowered to do their part in their families, communities, and the kingdom of God. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” ~Proverbs 31:30-31.
